The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed work on repairing, restoration, and decoration of more than 50 parks in different sectors of the metropolitan.
Portable washrooms are installed in the parks by the management. CDA has issued tenders for the uplifting of Srinagar Highway and Landscape of Golra Interchange.
According to details, CDA’s work for repairing, restoration, and beautification of all the small and big parks of the city are underway. In the first phase, CDA has completed the work in all the big 50 parks, including F-9 Park, I-8, I-9, I-10, G-9, G-10, G-11, and others. The work includes repairing of swings, walking tracks, and green belts; plantation, cutting of dried wood and shrubs, anti-dengue and anti coronavirus spray, etc. CDA’s department of environment will complete the work on the restoration of fountains soon.

The statement from the CDA Chief came at the end of a day-long visit to the F-9 Park, Super Market, F-6, Jinnah Super Market, F-7, F-8, Golra Interchange, Kashmir Highway, F-10, and other places to inspect the work.
He said there are 235 small and big parks in Islamabad. CDA will upgrade fifty parks in the next few weeks. At the same time, they will transform them into modernized recreational facilities in the coming months.
The Chief revealed that 40% of the street lights of Islamabad have been restored by the authorities. And pledged to restore the remaining lights at main roads, link roads, and streets soon.
