CDA Islamabad Launches First-Ever Digital Parking System
Islamabad has taken a big step towards modernization by introducing its first state-of-the-art digital parking system. The system has been designed to meet international standards and aims to make vehicle parking more efficient while raising awareness about the benefits of going digital among the public. Initially launched in the G-8 center, the system is expected to expand to other key areas of the city.
Administrator of the Capital Improvement Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited the recently sent off computerized stopping office. Other board individuals and senior officials from significant divisions went with him. They were undeniably informed about the framework’s usefulness and plans for its extension.

The digital parking system enables a seamless, contactless parking experience. Additionally, users can receive parking tickets while sitting in their cars. The icing on the cake is that users can pay for parking through various digital payment options. Seven digital payment methods are available. These include credit cards, debit cards, QR codes, and scratch cards, making the entire process quick and user-friendly.
No parking fees will be charged initially. CDA aims to create public awareness and familiarity with this new system. The authority believes that free parking will encourage more people to use the digital parking solution and experience its benefits firsthand.

Chairman Randhawa was informed about the future expansion plans of the digital parking system. In the first phase, digital parking will be introduced in Markaz FC1, Centaurus and Blue Area parking plazas. Eventually, this advanced system will be implemented in various commercial centers across the city to improve parking efficiency and stimulate economic activities.
An important aspect of the new system is that the revenue from digital parking is directly invested in local infrastructure. It even includes the installation of elevators in the same market where the parking system operates. Chairman Randhawa stressed that the digital parking system will improve traffic management. Moreover, it will also have a positive impact on business growth and the city’s economy. This innovative initiative by CDA is expected to transform the park landscape of Islamabad and set an example for other cities in Pakistan.
