CDA To Launch Online Building Plan Approval System
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to establish an Online Building Plan Approval System, which will be available both through a dedicated online portal and as part of a complete super app that the CDA will be launching soon.
With the use of this new digital solution, citizens will be able to submit and follow their applications with real-time updates from anywhere in the world, expediting the approval process for residential and commercial development designs.
This development was presented at a meeting on Monday headed by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
Nauman Khalid, head of Technology and Digitalisation, gave an extensive overview of the system, outlining how it will streamline construction plan approvals while also providing registration and support for architects.
Randhawa emphasized the need of training CDA workers prior to the system’s official debut and instructed relevant agencies to prepare themselves with the appropriate IT resources.
CDA Online building plan Approval system is a part of CDA master Mind Objective to improve Public service delivery and make processes more accessible to residents.

In addition to the construction plan system, the CDA is launching a Super App, which will integrate over 150 civic management functions. The software will offer Islamabad residents a comprehensive solution for everything from property management to complaint registration and utility services. By bringing these services straight to people’ fingertips, the CDA hopes to greatly improve the convenience and efficiency of obtaining municipal services.
In response to a question, a CDA representative stated that the Online Building Plan Approval System is now in the trial phase, with training for relevant staff to begin soon. Furthermore, the purchase of necessary IT equipment is underway. The representative noted that the system will be fully operational and accessible to the public beginning early next month.
