The Federal Government Has Allocated Rs14 billion For The Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway
Nawabshah: Shaheed Benazirabad Division Commissioner that construction of Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway would pave way for a new era of development.
Shaheed Benazirabad Division Commissioner Syed Mohsin Ali Shah presided over a meeting about the land requisition from Shaheed Benazirabad to Naushahro Feroze districts for the building of the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway project.
He said that the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway will usher in a new age of development in the region.
Sham Sundar informed the meeting that the project’s work will be carried out and finished in accordance with the working paper issued in 2015-2016.
He said that the 306-kilometer-long Motorway M-6 will feature six lanes, with five deputy directors and eight assistant directors of the National Highway Authority assigned to oversee construction.
Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Aamir Hussain Panhwar, Deputy Commissioner Naushehro Feroze Muhammad Tashfeen Alam, General Manager National Highway Authority M-6 Sukkur Sham Sundar, Regional Director National Highway Authority Jahangir Larak, and officials from related departments attended the meeting.
Back in September, the board of the Public-Private Partnership Authority (P3A) accepted the bid papers for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway Project, which is intended to be built on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis at a cost of about Rs 191 billion.
The clearance was issued during a board meeting on Friday, presided over by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar.
The P3A Board earlier authorized a commercial feasibility study and altered the Sukkur Hyderabad Motorway project’s transaction structure.
