The forthcoming Safari Park was the main topic of discussion at the meeting, and Chairman Randhawa emphasized how the project might make Islamabad a world-class travel destination. The park, which is anticipated to have a capacity of more than 5,000 animals, would likely attract a significant number of tourists from both local and foreign locations. More than 2,000 animals will be introduced in only the first phase.
Recognizing Zimbabwe’s abundant biodiversity, Chairman Randhawa invited the Zimbabwean embassy to play a key role in collecting animals, particularly the famed Big Five, for the safari park. Ambassador Basutu showed significant interest in the plan.
In a related event, the ambassador declared that the embassy intended to move to the Diplomatic Enclave from its existing location. He gave Chairman Randhawa his word that the issue would be dealt with quickly and diplomatically.
This strategic alliance between Zimbabwe and Pakistan is a promising start to a project that could transform Islamabad’s image on the world tourism map.
