The CDA Established A Dedicated Wing For Faisal Masjid Maintenance And Renovation.
Islamabad: According to reports published on May 7, 2022, the capital city administration has decided to establish a distinct branch dedicated to repairing, maintenance, and upkeep of the Faisal Masjid
A comprehensive horticultural, maintenance, electrical, and civil works staff will be assigned to the new wing.
Faisal Mosque has not been renovated in the recent four decades. Similarly, parking lots and restrooms are in disrepair.
The funding comes from a federal government maintenance grant, which is insufficient for full masjid maintenance.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has agreed to begin repairs and renovations to the historic mosque and has developed a PC-1 worth $250 million.

The PC-I prepared by the CDA Engineering Wing will be presented to the authority chairman for approval. The administration has also agreed to spend PKR 200 million of its own revenue on reconstruction.
Furthermore, a separate directorate will be established with a full team for gardening, maintenance, electrical, and civil works.
Illumination and solarisation must also be carried out
Instructions will also be issued to the Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) that no parking or licenses will be issued within the area in order to protect its holiness and natural beauty.
Free Parking will be provided to the general public in order to make the area accessible to all visitors.
