In the Margalla Range foothills, the CDA (Capital Development Authority) is considering building a state of the art cricket stadium and a five-star hotel.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed announced at a press conference on Tuesday 22 February, 2022 that the CDA has been given authorization to commence the tendering process for the stadium and the world-class hotel.
“I have instructed CDA Chairman Aamir Ahmed Ali to begin the process of constructing an international-standard stadium and hotel in the capital,” says the president. According to the interior ministry, the tendering process will begin soon.
A few sites are being evaluated for the stadium’s development, according to Naveed Elahi, a member of the Planning CDA.
