Kaghlasht Snow Festival Kicks Off At Upper Chitral
CHITRAL: The Snow Sports Festival began on Monday 7 February, 2022 in the beautiful Kaghlasht area of the Upper Chitral district.
This event is being organized by the district administration, according to news reports. The festival will include skiing, snow skating, paragliding, and other local and traditional games, as well as a cultural display.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Minorities Wazir Zada and Malakand Division Commissioner Zaheerul Islam, according to details.
Speaking on the occasion, Zaheerul Islam stated that the festival would be expanded to include winter tourists. He praised Kaghlasht as the most picturesque valley in the Upper Chitral area, and he welcomed the local players.
Manzoor Ahmad Afridi, Deputy Commissioner of Upper Chitral, and Muhammad Anwarul Haq, Deputy Commissioner of Lower Chitral, both spoke on the occasion and told the participants that every facility would be provided to promote snow games and winter tourism in both districts.
