KP Govt Introduces ‘Flood Reporting Mobile App’ To Assist Affected Flood Victim
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government launched the “Flood Reporting App” to help the people affected by catastrophic floods.
Atif Khan, the Minister of Science and Information Technology of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), provided explicit instructions for the launch of the smartphone application.
According to a statement from the minister, flood victims will be able to use the Flood Reporting App to record their need for relief, such as food or medication.
He assured the victims that prompt support will be given by the relevant departments and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The minister explains in the video that the software was designed in a day and that flood victims can use it to request food, water, medicine, evacuation, or other aid.
Victims can use the app to send a message or a picture, which will be emailed to all deputy commissioners in the area as well as the PDMA.
Users will not need to provide their location because authorities will be able to locate them as soon as they send a message.
After that, they will endeavor to provide assistance as quickly as possible.
