ISLAMABAD SHOULD BE MADE A MODEL CITY

A few citizens seriously concerned about the state of civic amenities in the federal capital Islamabad and the Chamber of Commerce took the decision of working in unity for the improvement of the city.

As per the shared details, a delegation of the Islamabad Citizens Committee (ICC) led by its President Syed Siddiq Hassan visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to meet with its President Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan.

 They discussed developmental measures for the federal capital, a statement issued by the ICCI said.

Khan mentioned that urban cities play a major role in the economic development of countries around the world. In addition, he further added the Capital Development Authority (CDA) should focus on developing Islamabad as a model city. To make it the hub of business and economic activities as well as provide a better living environment to its citizens.

He indicated that capital cities of many countries are the driving force in their economic development. Moreover, he urged that CDA should also focus on modernization of infrastructure in the federal capital.

He added that carpeting of all major roads, repairing of footpaths was an important task. Simultaneously, providing parking space in markets, restoration of all faulty streetlights is necessary for the development of Capital. Moreover, setting up filtration plants and public toilets would facilitate better investment opportunities for businesses.
