PEOPLE CONDEMN LAND GRABBING
The local police of the rural area of Kotli Sattian are allegedly involved in land grabbing, to seize the property of the area residents.
Two people from Kotli Sattiyan told a public hearing conducted by City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younis and Deputy Commissioner Anwarul Haq that powerful people have occupied their land with the help of police.
The top officers of the district ordered an inquiry in to this land grabbing matter. They held a khuli katchery to hear complaints about the Revenue Department.
Other police officials and revenue officers also attended the public hearing. Moreover other officials and local people also attended the katchery. People lodged their complaints about problems of issuance of domicile, fraud, registry. Moreover, they also discussed other issues like income certificate, execution of a person, execution of transfers and other revenue matters. The CPO and DC also listened to the complaints of the citizens. Moreover, they issued on the spot orders to the officers concerned. On the occasion the DC said purpose for holding such meetings was to resolve the grievances of the people at the earliest and make sure speedy justice.
