CDA FORMULATES LOW COST TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLANS FOR ISLAMABAD

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration has come up with low-cost traffic management plans for Islamabad. Hence, to maintain traffic flow in the city and control accidents.  

According to the officials, they will start work on these projects within a week. According to details, the CDA has planned to set up several low-cost traffic management plans. Therefore, to maintain traffic flow in the city during rush hours.

FIRST PHASE

In the first phase of this traffic management plan, CDA will start work on Nazimuddin Road, 7th Avenue and Serena Chowk to maintain the flow of traffic. They will complete the said project  by using the machinery and equipment of its own MPO department.

Simultaneously, a few days ago, the management of CDA had issued directions to the concerned to start work on the project using its own resources.

NEWLY DESIGNED TRAFFIC PLANS

The design department has issued designs for 7th Avenue on Nazimuddin Road, two places with high flow of traffic.   Thus, according to the newly designed traffic plan, CDA will construct free lanes at the said site.

 Whereas, they will also widen the lanes to maintain the flow of traffic. These points have the highest traffic congestion which often leads to accidents. Moreover, appropriate sign boards will also be installed at the said points. Furthermore, CDA has also prepared the second design for Serena Chowk. They will start work on these projects in a week. After completion of these projects, traffic system in the federal capital will improve, according to the officials.
