Islamabad: The cost of construction materials has risen in tandem with the skyrocketing price of petroleum products.
According to details, market dealers raised the prices of construction materials in response to the increase in the prices of petroleum products.
With rapidly rising petroleum prices, construction material prices have reached an all-time high. According to the information provided, market dealers have reportedly raised the prices of all construction materials.
A cement bag, which previously cost Rs.840, is now selling for Rs.1200, representing an Rs.360 increase. A piece of gravel will now cost Rs.130 per square foot, up from Rs.85 per square foot previously, for a total increase of Rs.45.
Sand trolleys are also experiencing a similar price increase. The fee for a trolley is now Rs.6,000, an increase of Rs.2,500. Steel prices have also been raised by Rs35, now costing a whopping 0.206 million per tonne.

According to sources, the prices of tiles and paint have also increased.
It is worth noting that the PML-N-led federal government raised the price of petrol by Rs60 per liter.
Furthermore, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) approved an increase in gas prices — a 45 percent increase for the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and a 44 percent increase for the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
