Rawalpindi Traffic Police Launches e-Challan Payment System

Rawalpindi: The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi launched the e-Challan payment system to facilitate citizens.

After the successful launch in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Multan, Online Traffic Challan Payments are now operational in Rawalpindi, this development announced by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

 

Rawalpindi citizens can now pay for their traffic challengers via Punjab e-Pay, internet banking, ATMs, bank counters and other digital payment channels.

 

According to Traffic Director (CTO) Rawalpindi Rai Mazhar Iqbal, the E-Challan payment system was launched in the Rawalpindi district with the help of the Punjab Information Technology Board.

He said, CTP was doing everything possible to facilitate citizens.

Rai Mazhar said that the E-Challans can now be paid through the mobile banking system, through internet banking, through the ATM service and through payment over the counter at banks. He said the system will also help ensure transparency.

He said citizens can also use the Easy-Paisa service to pay for their E-Challans.

E-Challan’s online payment would save citizens valuable time and help ensure transparency, he added.

The CTO added that the CTP Education Wing has also raised awareness among the masses of the importance of maintaining vehicle discipline on highways by distributing brochures and short lectures on the road and on busy public roads such as markets, bus terminals, buses, areas, etc.

He said CTP is working to maintain traffic discipline on the roads and involve the community in eliminating traffic violations.

In the event of a traffic violation, the traffic policeman issues an 18-digit PSID code.

Once the payment is made, you can present the evidence to the supervisor and return the seized documents on the spot.

The traffic assistant uses the E-Pay Punjab mobile app to check the status of the Challan payment. Everything for the payment method is connected with 1 link integration.

How to check Punjab e-Challan online?

  • Visit the PSCAwebsite to check the status of your traffic violation online.
  • After you access the PSCA website, you will see two blocks in front of you, one for your vehicle number and one for your CNIC.
  • If you enter your vehicle registration information and CNIC number, you may or may not be fined.
  • You can also print the E-Challan document. How to pay your e-Challan: There are two ways you can pay for your e-Challan.
  • The first is to pay for your challan manually by downloading and printing the e-Challan document from the PSCA website and filing the required amount to the National Bank of Punjab (NBP).
  • The second method is to pay for your challenge at NBP’s ATMs.

E-Challans can now be paid via the mobile bank at 23 banks, via the internet banking system at 18 banks, via the ATM at 21 banks and via overpayment at 28 banks. It is also said that citizens can use Easy-Paisa, e-pay Punjab, Jazz Cash, HBL Konnect, UBL Omni and TCS to pay for their e-Challans.

IG Punjab Inam Ghani said at the ceremony that e-Challan online payment would save citizens valuable time and help maintain social distance in Covid’s time.
