3 New Airlines Are Launching in Pakistan Soon

Three new airlines have applied for Civil Aviation Authority (CAA’s) regular public transport permit (RPT) to begin flight operations in Pakistan

Q-Airlines, Fly Jinnah and Jet Green are the three airlines that will begin domestic operations in the coming months.

According to details, CAA has completed control of Q-Airlines and Fly Jinnah while control of Jet Green is nearing completion. Upon completion of the audit process, the CAA will forward RPT authorization requests to the Aviation Division and then to the Federal Cabinet for final approvals.

With the addition of three new airlines, the number of private airlines operating in Pakistan will rise to six. Following the approvals of the three carriers, this will bring the number of private carriers operating in the country to six, serving 217 million residents.

Airblue, Serene Air and AirSial are the three airlines that are already operational in Pakistan. National airline Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is the largest and oldest airline in the country.

Serene Air, based in Islamabad, operated several repatriation flights last year to bring back stranded Pakistanis to the UAE.

New carriers are required to operate domestic flights for at least one year with three aircraft before they can begin international operations.

Serene Air has already received the necessary approvals from the authorities of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to launch commercial operations with inaugural flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Jeddah and Riyadh.

Please note that under CAA laws, new airlines are required to operate domestic flights for at least one year with three aircraft before they are eligible for international operations.
