The Punjab Government has decided to develop Asia’s Largest Forest in Lahore.
Lahore will soon have one of Asia’s largest forests, as the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has partnered with relevant provincial government divisions to plant saplings in 51 locations across the metropolis.
Punjab Prime Minister Asif Mahmood’s adviser shared updates on this development at a press conference in Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.

Discussing the developments with reporters, he said young trees of the Miyawaki species have been planted 🌲 🌳 🌴 in 51 areas in Lahore, in addition to the impressive 1.1 million that have already been planted by the provincial government.
He added that 500,000 saplings and 11 Miyawaki forests will be grafted in various areas of Lahore during the monsoon.
As per the Miyawaki method, 1,125 plants are being planted per Kanal at all locations geotagged already

The Miyawaki method is essentially a hasty forest restoration technique used to replenish the number of trees in an urban city in a developing country and is popular in countries such as India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and France.
The advisor said that special children would also be included in the Clean and Green Pakistan drive. 🌲 🌳 🌴
