Gwadar Cricket Stadium holds first-ever match

Gwadar, February 19, 2021 – The newly opened Gwadar cricket stadium, set against the backdrop of the white clay hills of Koh-e-Mehdi and the blue waters of Gwadar Bay, on the southwestern coast of Baluchistan, has received nothing but praise by ICC

The governing body of cricket, has also stunned cricket fans around the world with the picturesque view making it one of only seven scenic cricket stadiums in the world

According to a report, the picturesque stadium, surrounded by majestic mountains and hills, hosts a match between Showbiz Sharks Vs Gwadar Dolphins on Friday February, 19, 2021, as a tribute to the late mountaineer Ali Sadpara.

Participants prayed for the high ranks of Muhammad Ali Sadpara’s departing soul and acknowledged his services for mountaineering, especially his latest effort to reach the top of the wild K2 Mountain.

The exhibition meeting is attended by special assistant to the prime minister in his capacity as minister of state in the cabinet, Zulfi Bukhari, along with celebrities such as Fakhr-e-Alam, Aijaz Aslam, Faysal Qureshi and Ali Zafar. Important politicians Ali Zaidi and Fawad Chaudhary also participate.

“Such beautiful terrain does not exist anywhere else in the world,” said Zulfi Bukhari.

He said a tournament would be played at the Gwadar cricket stadium every year.

The government will focus on making Gwadar the most beautiful tourist destination in the world, he added.

British High Commissioner to Pakistan Christian Turner presided over the coin toss at the stadium.

“It is an honor to preside over a coin toss at the Cricket at Gwadar opening match at the beautiful Gwadar Stadium,” the reporter said. Gwadar’s dolphins had chosen to bowling against the show sharks.

“Our batting and bowling lineups are strong, so we’re looking forward to the game,” said Waseem Khan.

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis decided to jump on the “PAWARI HO RAHI” bandwagon.

Gwadar Cricket Stadium went viral on social media due to its picturesque backdrop and beautiful location.

The images of the stadium were also shared by the official Twitter account of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The Pakistani government has also expressed a desire to transform this stadium into a fully equipped stadium of international standards and hopes to host an international match at the venue soon.
