PUNJAB’S HOUSING SECTOR
Chief Secretary Punjab Jawad Rafique told Prime Minister Imran Khan, in a meeting that Punjab Government had received applications for approval of construction projects over 50 million square feet area which would generate economic activity of PKR 1 trillion in the year 2021.
Chief Secretary expressed his views on the matter during a meeting of the National Coordination Committee on Housing and Construction, presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Moreover, Mr. Jawad Rafique said that the construction activity initiated had led to an increase in the sale of cement, bricks, steel, and other building materials in Punjab. The Prime Minister further added that the acceleration of the construction activity would improve the national economy besides providing employment opportunities to the people.
