Tunnel Restored In Ayubia
Islamabad: Special assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aalam, on Thursday revived a 129 years ancient historical “Motto Tunnel” at Ayubia National Park.
The historic Motto Tunnel was built in 1891, but buried in filth and waste, has now been fastidiously restored to its original glory by the Ministry of Climate Change. It will prove to be a model of Eco-Tourism in Ayubia National Park.
The Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa has now extended the nature pipeline track (4km) by another 10 km. The tunnel has been revived for the visitors after nearly 20 years.
Reclamation work has been done by the Ministry of Climate change and UNDP in collaboration with the KP Forest and Wildlife Department.
