GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Breathtaking Gilgit The majestic valleys and mountains of Baltistan are about to witness a historic event as Skardu Airport prepares to welcome its first-ever international flight from Dubai on August 14.
The only airport in Pakistan’s northern region that can take bigger aircraft is Skardu Airport, which sets it apart from its equivalents in Gilgit and Chitral.
Due to the tiny runways at these two airports, long-haul flights cannot land there, making Skardu Airport the primary hub for international air travel in the region.
