Faisalabad: SBP & Banks to Organize ‘Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar Mela’
The State Bank of Pakistan announced that commercial banks awarded rapid conditional clearance for house loans of PKR 7.4 billion during the First Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar ‘Mela’ hosted in Faisalabad.
Banks received a resoundingly positive response at the Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar (MPMG) event. At the event, banks registered applications totaling 18 billion rupees.
The Mela was held from March 19-20, 2022, and over 30,000 people attended to learn about MPMG and apply for a loan through the banks’ one-stop shop, rather than going to the bank to register for registration.
The bank granted conditional clearances for approximately Rs 7.4 billion.
At the event, 25 banks and 28 real estate builders and developers set up a kiosk and conducted a call for applications, where consumers could submit applications after passing an eCIB check and receiving a letter of conditional permission.

Meezan Bank has the most application logins as well. BoP and NBP were recognized as the banks that issued the initial letters of conditional approval to applicants in the shortest amount of time.
ABL produced the majority of conditional approval letters and was recognized for providing the highest level of service.
A top SBP official visited the kiosk during the event to assess progress. Complaints from prospective applicants are handled swiftly.
The mela was also visited by top officers such as presidents and chiefs of regional banks.
It is worth mentioning that under the Mera Pakistan Mera Ghar programme, affordable home loans, which were almost non-existent just 1.5 years ago, now total Rs 357 billion, of which Rs 157 billion has been distributed.
