As we already know, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has blocked countries around the world and forced the entire population to follow social distancing and self-isolation measures to slow the spread of the dangerous disease.
A record number of people faced unemployment due to the economic crisis, while the lucky ones who managed to keep their jobs were asked to work remotely, making WFH (Work from Home) the new normal. Students, on the other hand, have turned to online classes and schools, colleges and university campuses have been closed to maintain a healthy society.
In light of the tumultuous year, the 2021 World Happiness Report focused on the effects of the coronavirus on happiness, mental health, social connections and the work environment.
